Digital mental health tools have been growing in popularity, particularly as organizations navigate remote work arrangements and other factors that have kept employees apart. While many of these tools deliver mental health resources, a notable gap exists when it comes to addressing increasing risks of social isolation and loneliness. Dr. Bill Howatt, founder and CEO of Howatt HR, and Shandy McLean, President of Arcora, had a conversation with the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans for their Summer 2021 issue of Plans & Trusts magazine. They discussed how organizations can use digital mental health tools, like apps, to help employees build those connections and better address their mental health needs.
